does anyone know if a 2003 viper pipe and manifold(stock) will fit on my 2001 sxr 700 (stock)? will it gain me anything?

mopar1rules,do i need to change my jetting? if so what would you suggest? also what do you think will happen to fuel economy after exhaust change? thanks

well your fuel economy will go down of course, cause you will need to jet up 1-2 sizes w/you main jets and might have to fine tune the fuel screws as well.

what is your current jetting?

you could try either 146.3's straight accross or 147.5's straight accross and see what you get for plug color and piston wash. i would start w/the richer suggestion first.

A guy I know that does speed runs is running a Viper pipe on a 1999 SX600 redhead triple stocker and it has been doing well. I guess they found more MPH with that pipe.
Why I do not know.

I know haucks buddy that was the first to do one years ago but he told me he had to go up to a 50 pilot jet on the 700's.

Wow! I can't believe he would have to up his pilots 2 sizes for stock viper pipe. Must have substantial flow on the bottom over stock sx-r pipe.

Does anyone have pics of this mod?

Really not much to see. Just a viper exhaust mounted to a redhead triple. If you really want to see some pics, I think there were some floating around in the vmax/sx-r forums.

My dads got a 2002 Vmax 600 and i just happen to have a complete 03 viper exhaust. I was wondering would this work on it and if so what do you suggest for the jetting?

run to the supermarket & get some doughnuts then. Oh, you must mean donuts, the exhaust gaskets. I thought you had to be snackin when you are working on your sled.
