advice/oppinions on upgrades for 02 viper

i already have a 3" bar riser, 45/90* bar ends and an opticool HG installed

currently have simons cpr tripple pipes but im going back to the stock single

i have a rear heat exchanger that i havnt installed yet, and havnt had overheating problems, should i bother installing it?

to do:
im likely upgrading to a 136 track length
possibly the addition of suspension drop brackets
a can- one that wont cause severe powerloss and isn't obnoxiously loud
clutching- I'm open to suggestions, i ride very aggressively, mostly trail, some powder.. keeping top speed above 100mph is a must for me
reeds- what's worth it moneywise? (3 hp for $200 is not for me)

I'm looking to have an aggressive and versatile sled while retaining relability and not breaking the bank. Other than that I'm open to your suggestions!
 
Heel Clickers work very well in the Viper.
Trail Porting will be another power gain.
A Bender 4x4 pipe will also add hp.
Torque limiter, if you don't have it already.
Lots of opinions on reeds here.
Factory can is your best performance.
I would use the rear exchanger. Better safe than sorry.
Going 136 will cut some speed but will greatly improve the ride quality once setup properly. Took me one season to get mine dailed in. I found that the drop brackets did not work for my style of trail riding (somewhat aggressive)

You can check in my sig below for my setup. Very reliable and still shows 112mph on the dream meter

If you want top end awesome backshift and srx acclleration put MrVipers heel clicker set up in your viper.
The drop brackets don't do anything but give your running boards a little more clearance when going throuh deep poweder.They will move your body(center of gravity) higher making the sled tippier and having more inside ski lift.

Don't wast your money on reeds if your going back to the stock single pipe.

I almost sold the viper and bought a nytro this year but something told me not to so heres the new gameplan/setup.

well im back to the stock exhaust, it will be great to have fuel economy this season, but im really going to miss the sound of the pipes.

I know the majority of aftermarket cans hurt performance, but what about modifying the stock can as shown in the tech section? how much louder is it after this mod? i dont want obnoxious noise, just a bit more sound.

also within the tech section there is an airbox modification for sx's, is it productive on the viper as well?

I decided to stick with the 121" track for the season. i picked up a 1.25 ripsaw, unstudded and ill be keeping the stock 9 tooth drivers and pulling the HX protectors, as well as installing a rear heat exchanger while im at it.

I'm still on the fence with drop brackets as i like to play off trail whenever i get the chance, i'll probably just make a set myself, nothing more than a 2" lift though.

I threw some acerbis handguards on, added a nice touch i think.

The only thing i have left to figure out is my clutching. I've done a fair amount of research but i'd really like to know some tested and true setups people have used. I'm looking for an aggressive trail setup that will throw me back in my seat but doesnt lack top end on a stock engine. What helix angles, clutch weights and springs are you using? i'd happily buy a nice setup or trade my tripple pipes for a good setup.

I changed from CPR's to stock mid way through last season for MPG also. I do miss the power and sound but the riding all day is nice. Cluching will probably be the only thing i mess with this year. Im going to try the simple trail su by turk to start. Just a green secondary spring with a dalton 53/43 helix. I really would like to try mrvipers heel clicker su. Ive heard nothing but great results from it and lots of guys have done it and have knowledge to share so should be pretty easy to get dialed in. You should not need to pull the HX exchangers to run a ripsaw. Maybe a little trim of the lugs at the windows. I would leave them as they can be a real PIA to replace if you later decide to stud.
 
I've used drop brackets from cb performance. Good products but you will need to set up your skid for more transfer. I ended up taking them off of my sxr as the front was a snow plow and I was digging trenches a lot. It might be great for you. Up to you.
 
yeah ive done a bit of reading on clutch setup's i was hoping to go with either a red or green secondary spring, and follow mrvipers tuning setup. i read that 1.25" ripsaw will slightly rub the protectors and id prefer not to trim the track.

regarding the drop brackets, did they make a significant different in riding in deep powder?
