So I have finally gotten my wrecked sled home from my December accident. It appears that I bent the frame. There is a junk 98 SRX 600 w/ a blown engine within 50 miles. My engine and carbs, in the SX700 are still OK. Is the transplant possible without alot of F$!@#$% around.

I would think you could do it. But of course, what is your definition of "alot of F$!@#$% around."? But since I've never done it I can't give a very good answer here. But I have had my sled all torn down before, and I'm not the type to be intimidtated to easily by the unknown... (translation: I leap long before I look...) ;)
 
I'm lookin for pretty much a straight bolt up. A little fabrication isn't out of the question.
One of my left arm mussles is still paralized from my December crash. Can grip things with the left hand, just cannot raise is out to the side.
I can use all the prayers that everyone can muster.

The swap is going to be straight forward. I swapped a 700 into my 600 twin chassis, the only difference was the motor mounts. The twins use circular mounts while the triples use square mounts. Since the SRXs are both triples it should be a very easy. I also swapped all the wiring too, I would also do that if I were you just to avoid any annoyances. Just remember, you have about 9 months to get it done! AND, wrenching could be really good rehab!
 
i got a tunnel and bulk head out back and if memory serves me correct no dammage to bulkhead or tunnel the thing i do remember is the exchanger was hit a little by the studs no hole but little wear on the fins ...not sure how far you are but if you need it you can have it i could probally help get it to you also

thanks its the love of the sport ..i know how bummed i am when my sled is down and cant ride ...i would rather MAKE A FRIEND THAN MAKE A DOLLAR :bump:

i too wrecked my xtc 700 3 weeks ago after i put so much tlc i wanted to cry then i bought my 01 sxr an never loked back my xtc was a dead mans sled wrecked 3 times seemed each of them i was runnin the trails to hard an got outta rythym in the whoops an pine trees are not so nice found myself layin in the middle of th etrail concussion broken finger an some bruised everything but th egood ole red head limped about 5 miles to help never even left me stranded i swear by the redhead i wish i could put that motor in a newer rider forward id be in dreamland
 
hey just cought up on this thred any time is good for me were are you located ill meet you so you dont have to come all the way ...or if you would like to come all the way i got a ton of parts to get rid of that ill throw in the deal ....give me a number were i can call you at and ill call you so we can discuss this ...thanks rich
