problems with Boss seat

I just pick up a bossseat for my mountain viper. Removed stock seat & was all excited to see how it fit.
Big disapointment. Its not even close to fitting at the tank.
Do the mountain sleds have larger fuel tanks?
This is goin to take some work. Kinda pissed off right now.
But my old knees couldnt take it with the stock seat.
Oh well got 6 months to make it fit.
 
I put a BOSS seat on my viper and found myself in the same situation. Unzip the cover and use a small handheld blue bottle torch to melt the foam away that prevents it from sliding all the way forward. I know it sounds crazy but it works like a charm. The heat will shrink away the excess with no problem. Just go slow and easy taking away a little at a time!
 
Thats my problem. Seat doesnt go far enough forward by about 1" . I have a heatgun & will try that b4 I get out the torch.
Still pissed off though. The pattern Boss sent to China or wherever in Asia they are made now must have lost something. in the translation. The seats are cheaper to buy now but like anything made there Junk as far as QC goes.
Shame on Bossseat for goin overseas. Or at least givin a shit
About the quality of the product they now just sell.

I bought a BOSS, once, for my Viper. Everything since has been Mountain Mod and they are 10X better than what BOSS sold me.....cheaper too....
