03 Viper ER brake light issue

Last night i took my viper out to race my neighbors rev. I noticed that my brake light was not working at all. It was working when I left my house. When I took it in the shop I first checked all the fuses and found one burned out, replaced it and had my brakes working. Today i moved it out of the shop and found the light was not working again. Has anybody had this problem before? I believe there might be a bear wire somewhere under the seat or one of my bulbs are shorting out. :dunno:
 
How about voltage regulator? My bro's 1990 Arctic cat kept blowing headlight bulbs... replaced the $20.00 volatge regulator and it's been good for years now!

Its not blowing any bulbs its just blowing a fuse.
 
so today I checked out the wires under the seat and they were all fine. Got to the brake light and one of the bulbs i could turn the glass about a half turn so i replaced it. Put the seat back on and when for a ride. The brake lights were working, once on got on it i later found the light was out again. Could this be from the voltage regulator like akrievins said? Running wide open making the voltage regulator blow a fuse?
 
Seems strange?? those are all LED in there so there is no element to quote "Burn Out". Could be a short somewhere around the circut board possibly. does the housing seem like its still water tight and free of condensation???

There is no LEDs in the brake light, there is two bulbs. Circuit board is clean with no water or anything in it. I think i will try my electric shield plug in next. Take the seat off again and see if there is any short under the gas tank.
 
Well i dont know what the heck kind of set up you got going on there? but its not stock. you said 03 viper?? then you should have 2 LED elements that look similar to this.

Yea mine is a 03 viper ER and it doesnt have those. They are just like your normal trailer light bulbs. They come stock with leds? By the way i found my short last night. My electric shield wire had bare wire so I fixed it up and now it works. ;)!
 
having same problem with 2002 viper.blowing fuses on brake/tail and back up signal.Have looked everywhere for a short to no avail any ideas where to look for a short in wiring??
