I agree with Viperguy, I got LOVE for JAPAN, now time to go out to shred some backcountry, cause thats what I do, theres 30cm fresh out there,no time for comments,I'm way too busy drinking Tiger Blood and WINNING!!! everyday!!!
I have to HAND IT tothe ENGINEERS and ARCHITECTS who came up with the idea of putting a NUCLEAR POWER station so CLOSE to a KNOWN FAULT LINE ?? I think they called it something like San Andreas and Cascadia FAULTS that some PLATE sits on and it's a HUNDRED MILES FROM JAPAN,,,???? Or about 100 miles from the actual NUCLEAR site,,, well,, I'm not an ARCHITECT or a STRUCTURAL ENGINEER,,,but,,, Building a NUCLEAR REACTOR a HUNDRED MILES from the BIGGEST FAULT in the WORLD,,,, is as SMART AS BUILDING and opening up a BEST BUY in ENGLEWOOD.......
You GET what you GOT COMING !!!!! Not to say that I don't feel sorry for the people who were up-rooted by some natural disaster,,, QUITE the CONTRARY..My heart goes out to them,, but the guys who figured out to put a nuclear reactor where they put it,,, well,, lets just say " You GOT what you GET" or you GET what you GOT".. Which ever way works best!!!

that is quite the demonstration on the before and after!
They could have stuck that reactor in the mountains and they wouldn't have had any problems with tsunami's knocking out their cooling systems.. but it COSTS MORE MONEY to build up there !!! It's ALL ABOUT MONEY and not necessarily about safety.. They play it off in the name of SAFETY,,, unless it costs TOO MUCH !!! This a perfect example of it costing too much to put the reactors another HUNDRED miles away in the MOUNTAINS away from Harm's way.. I suppose you LIVE AND LEARN.....

they will learn the hard way I assume..looks like 1 meltdown is going to happen as the cooling liquid in #4 is empty..I wouldn't want to be 500 miles from there when she blows..what a bad deal here for these people..I would get the hell off that Island ..where are you going to put millions and m,illions and millions of people...I wouldn't stay. They are even camcelling flights coming in for pick up of people because of the radiation problem.....history in the making I am afraid...not good..

There is always history made in a catastrophic event. How it is dealt with, lessons learned and the exact aftermath will affect the entire world forever.
How much the world will remember it depends on its severity. I would say we will be hearing about this one for decades at least. Very similar as much to the atomic bombs dropped on Japan in WW II
