I have a 1997 Yamaha SX 700 that is a pain in the @ss to start. Carbs cleaned, new and adjusted choke cable, but still takes 30 pulls or more and maybe even different plugs to get going. No idea what is wrong.
Could this be a fuel pump issue? Thing is, when it's running, she seems to run strong and go like a raped ape - when it's running.
Thanks,
Jim.

Is the check valve in the fuel line?
