Motor is going to stay "stock" but I'll probably put a new top end in it. I need to find out what I can do for clutch springs on these things to get a little more excitement out of it too. Gonna ditch the junk Keihin stock carb for either a Mikuni or a Keihin PJ34 which I'm very acquainted with from ATV racing days.
Did a little more work today on the tunnel/seat/bumper.
Got a lot done today. Overcame a major oversight with the steering conversion (steer left, turns right... oops!) and got the front end pretty much done. Had to make a new lower steering post mount and use the Phazer's post on it. Lots of work to do with a mallet and some body dollies.
I just figure I'll repaint and re-decal the hood and polish the aluminum for the most part. I want it to have the OEM kind of look.... only with a bunch of suspension.
had a 78 250 enticer from about 9 years old until I was 16, never seen a sled that could take a pounding like one of those, bet there was 20000 miles on that thing when we got rid of it.
Yeah, you can beat the crap out of them for sure. The belly pans on most of them tell a pretty good story! I thought about just putting a stock one together for my boy, but this one will be so much cooler and lots more stable.
You stole my idea! Haha. I was wanting to do that same suspention set up to a 300 or 340 but I just never had the money to do it yet. Now I see its possible to do and want to even more!
