man it is nice and sunny and cold out today.Went to the river and it is all hard packed now since a few days of warm weather.Sled is really running great today..jumps when you pin it.Last week was hitting 140 k/h for speeds..today I was hitting about 153 k/h.What a difference when there is no soft snow slowing you down..climbed up there quick also and no over heating at all. Thanks to having ice scratchers on board.Did some serious hill climbing today after all the new build up of snow from the blowing winds.Straight up climbs and standing on end when landing on top. Some guys even built to snow ramps for jumping, didn't try them..that would put the sled at least 10 to 15 feet in the air before landing down hill..
I am using the 51/43 helix with green at 70 and rpms are dead on 8500 wot.Always like using that helix when the weather is warmer..either in the sxr or srx.To bad the SRX is laid up..probably would not have any problems burying the needle today.. :o|
Notice the belt climbs up the primary further as the secondary has less of a hard time overcoming snow drag...thus more speed.Am about 1/4 " from top of primary compared to 3/8 to 1/2" prior in the sugary snow..Gonna stay around 0 C mark or slightly under all next week..so will still be riding into the next weekend for sure.

man another great day of riding, would be riding longer but running out of fuel.It is -1C out and beautiful.Did some more speed runs with the 600 today and she is running great...Using 51/43 helix with red wrapped at 90..She holds perfect rpms at wot...8500... got the speedo up to 160 today and happy with that..Met 5 other sliders on the small river today. One guy is letting his 8 year old son ride by himself on a 2008 long tracked Bravo..cool.The kid still has to learn some skills. We were leaving and he was pointed toward the River Bank..gives her gas and climbs the 6 foot bank tries to carve the snow..of course he don't have the body weight to throw around and his speed was slow and the sled started to roll..his dad ran quick as he could to hold the sled from rolling down sideways ..close one..As I watched this I was thinking the kid was brave and thought he would make it,but he let off the gas when he felt the sled wanted to roll down..
cool anyways..no one hurt..
got another 70 km in today.

did I mention that these triple motors are bulletproof...well my 600 is.Now got over 1200 miles on the rebuild and she is going strong.... ;)! great little sled..will never sell it..good starter also.

I was thinking of putting on SLP tripple pipes,it will make approx 16 HP more.but was worried my gas mileage would really drop..but the extra 16 HP would be cool...

well I went out for 1 last ride it seems. The ditches are rough now,a lot of grass, ice and gravel/concrete to go thru to connect to ditches.Put on only 24 km's.Hit the frozen water in the ditch by my house..it didn't break thru..I tried.Over a foot deep I am sure.Went on again and stopped..bad news..the dual carbide arrow skis held me at a standstill..track was spinning and going no where..then I start seeing the ice developing cracks under me..had to get off and push sled to the snow in order to get out.If I would of broke thru at 0 mph..I would be stuck there until the flood comes...lol

Now waiting for it to warm up so I can move stuff from the backyard garage and start to set up my flood wall ahead of time..sounds like a nasty flood coming this time around.I will be posting a lot of pics and videos of this years flood, ;)!
