missed a turn , late at night ...thought i was good to aim for the clear, but i couldnt see it was a river under a snow drift...sled went down i hit the other side of the bank... could of been way worse... anytime its 10 degrees out and your 100 miles out and soaked with a dead sled really sucks

sled landed upside down in river... about 1ft of water but took some in the pto cylinder but after spending over an hour extracting it i was well on my way to being hypothermic and my ribs were killing me... we tryed to fire it up but it wouldnt, so we pulled plugs and got out as much water as possible and left it and got me to a waiting ride then the next day we went back and got it ...03viperguy said:sled was dead? besides the hood what was broke? man that sucks, sorry to hear it!!
the hood cracked, the dash pod wrecked and cracked the tachometer...once back home i emptied the oil i filled he crank case with and flushed the carbs and she fired right up!

good news, yeah that could have been way worse.
It sounds at least like you were not alone and had another sled to hitch a ride home on. wet and cold in the middle of nowhere with a dead sled is a bad combo.
