Would it be difficult swapping my 1997 SX 700 to a 2-up seat from a Venture? Any issues with bolt holes, luggage rack, tail light, enough juice to run rear handwarmers, etc...
Anyone have an idea? I want to do this, but don't want to be stuck with an impossible project either.
Thanks,
Jim.

I think you would need to extend the tunnel as well, since the venture is a 136 skid
I know in 2001 the Venture had two different seats. We had a 500 and a 600 in 01. The 600 had a 136 with a normal two up seat, seat all the way back to the bumper. However the 500 with a 136 had a shorter style two up seat. The seat was about 6 to 8 inches shorter, and had a luggage rack between the seat and bumper. Both seats had the rear hand warmers, the 600 seat had a movable back rest. Meaning you could position it for the driver while the 500 seat back was stationary.
On to the electric I don't know if you components would be able to handle the rear hand heat?
Good luck!

I know a guy who went 136 on a 02 srx he ran a 2 up seat when he took his family on ride. Not sure which one he had but it can be done.
The older style 2-up seat works just fine. The backrest assembly needs to be bolted or riveted to the tunnel. Then the seat fits in just like your current seat. You may want to run a new supply and ground line.
