Hi.. my sxr 700 electric start is not working? the solenoid just makes a clicking sound when turning key. tried charging battery.. checked all wires and fuses. thinking it must be the solenoid. just looking for some opinions before ordering new solenoid. thanks

It may not be the solenoid, might be the starter. Use a test light or multi-meter to trace the problem.

Hotwire it and see what happnes. Jump the solenoid with a large wire or a piece of metal like a screwdriver or large washer. It'll spark. If the starter turns, it might be the solenoid. To further diagnose, use a multimeter across the 2 big wires on the solenoid and see what resistance you get when you turn the key.
