ok got a question 2000 sxr 700 bender pipes 150 mains got the light on yesterday riding down side of road not alot of snow for cooling got a spare srx rear heat exchanger going to put on but is there anything else you guys recomend .this opticool gasket ? well any ideas dont want to deal with it anymore fix it once and ride thanks

I got a piped viper with the SRX rear heat exchanger and an opticool heat gasket from bender. Never had a problem with it over heating. I recommend you get a opticool head gasket.

I could be wrong, but I thought the Opticool head gasket was only for Vipers...

I think you may be right. I have only seen opticool head gaskets for vipers. You would think they would make them for the other sleds too.
The Viper is the only one with the cooling problems between cylinders so that is the only one for the opticool gasket.

rear heat exchanger came on the sxrs an all sx chassis am i wrong all of mine had it owned 3 vmax 700s an an 01 sxr
The SRX rear exchanger is larger and will fit on your Vmax but the hose diameter is larger then the Vmax's so you will have to step it up from the running board exchangers to the rear SRX exchanger...I ran the SRX rear exchangers on two of my improved stock SX tripples...pretty easy to do and does provide superior cooling.

goood to know i will be doing that also i like my sled to run nice an cool becuase here in upstate ny sometimes our snow is marginal at best an with my benders she runs warmer
