RPM's whats the limit?

Anybody know what the rpm limit is on srx/viper motors? When do they start letting go? Do all of the yami cdi boxes have a limiter? Just wondering cause I met a guy who claims his turns at 9600 for lake racing. says its a moded viper motor, BS?

modded engines run at 9800-10,200 rpm, its not uncommon at all, but you will need an aftermarket box to do any good at that rpm, the stock box retards at those rpm, and will make alot less power.
