Can I install electric start on my 1999 SX 600 Triple?
If so, what should i be looking for? Is the same electric start system used on several differnt sleds?
Thanks!!

I just got done doing a bit of research on this very subject. As far as i can tell any electric start from a modern proaction sled meaning 97 and above will fit. Just some of the conectors are not the same but the wires are. Just means you need to hard wire them, but all the parts are the same. If you need help let me know on the wireing. I have a post with detailed instructions on how to wire it here some where. Very much worth the time and money. Have added to all my vipers now. Chris.

This is for a viper so you will need to double check on wiring but its a good start . Post #4. Also do a search a couple of very good posts on e start installs. And 2 good write ups in the tech section. You will love it. chris

the viper,sxr & sx e-start are interchangeable w/ a few small differences:
1.) viper & '01 & newer sxr, 300W ignition, requires a fuse box added to the wiring harness. 175W ignition does not need fuses.
2.) 300W & 175W have a different configured plug end on the wire lead to the wiring harness from the relay.

Thanks! What can I expect to pay for a used system?
