srx power in viper

you would not believe, i had a harness in there from a sxr 700 and blew that motor last season, thats why i changed that one out for the 01 srx harness to go with the 01 srx motor. I am not useing the viper gauge, i have srx gauges in the viper cowl with a peice of a srx dash modified. I am at the point of coolant lines, wanted to use the viper set up but the srx rail needs a lot of modification. where can i get a mega power rail?? that rail would be to easy. anything else i should know before i run into it?? thanks for the help. Jim

Just those things, If your not using any of the viper electronics, your fine on the temp sensor. Too bad you have already done all this, the bypass would have taken you about 15min to do once you picked up the resistor at the radio shack.
When I did mine back in 04, maximum was still in buisness, you could buy them new for 90$. If you have two srx rails and anyone who can tig weld, you can make one. I have run the stock srx rail with the lower end plugged off and the throstat removed. The worst part about this, other than the crappy fit was that I also had to cut a piece of the coul where it hits under the headlight. This will work but does cut the size of the hose down and doesnt fit very good.

One picture shows the mega power rail. one shows the srx rail when I had it boogered in there. I shortened the hose coming up from the heat exchanger to drop the stat housing, then used an elbow to attach to the lower inlet. this made it so I had to use the srx jug so I just hooked up the upper bypass hose and used a slug in it to block the flow on that side. Stat removed from the water rail.
the last picture is of a stock srx muffler and what I had to do to get the pipes low enough and close together to fit.
they wont load. why doesn't this site resize pictures automaticly? :o|

Thanks again for your help, i wish the other pictures came up that you tried to post. I do know someone that can weld and I am going to see if i could cut out the hose neck from a blown up viper head and cut the stat housing off my srx rail and have the viper end welded on. I am heading to the garage to figure it out. I'll let you know and post pictures of finished product
