1997 v max

i have a chance to pick up nice looking vmax,
i want to check the cranking compression
what should it be?

Not sure on exact numbers for that sled. The big thing is to make sure both cylinders are within a couple percent of each other. Every gauge is different. My 96XT is 125 on each cylinder for comparison. Chris

i been playin with the head gaskets 1 layer 2 layer stock 1 layer u notice a difference but in marginal snow without ice scratchers foget about it smoked a couple im goin with the peak head becuase you get to run the unmolested gasket with the performance

97 600 twin is famous for the pin that keeps the ring from spinning falls out then the ring spins and finds the port---- see if its been updated to 98 pistons
