Is there supposed to be a bend in the spindle? Or are they supposed perpendicular to the base?? I just cleaned mine up and are ready to paint....but dont want to waste my time if I need to get replacements!

Mine both have a bend in them..

Take a look let me know what you think...THANKS!

Are the SRX the same length as SX ones?

So I am guessing mine are not supposed to have the bend in them..??

your bushings in there must of been done if them spindles were that bent. You must be doing some heavy duty jumping and landing hard on the front end, weird that they would even bend sideways.

What is the length of the pipe, I can check mine. I also have some new spindle bushings and trailing arm bushings.

Yeah the bushing will be replaced...

I guess the sled was ridin pretty hard. These are from my project sled I picked up a couple of months back!

I keep finding more parts to replace...haha

Ill get a measurement tomorrow...

Thanks!

doesnt neccessarily mean it was jumped sliding with your skis turned catchin stumps sides of the rode ive bent them pretty easily

X2 - Yup, they look twisted/bent to me. They seem to twist pretty easily.

yes they are bent ....i have 2 brand new ones that have never been installed that i will make you a great deal on ..trying to get rid of a bunch of extra parts i dont need .to make enough money to cover my vip membership to the site ..just let me know if you still need a set .....MR.POWER VALVE

The shaft is just over 7" from the base to the top.

Hmmm....I may try the hydraulic press idea. Ive already straightened a trailering arm and tie rod. why not spindles...haha

While I agree with Jim about straightening them, you may want to look closely to see that they aren't also twisted. I twisted one on my SRX and it wasn't readily apparent until I looked closely at the grain of the un-machined portion of the shaft.

Admittedly I used it for a season and never had it break, but did swap it out for another to avoid worrying about it.

One of those -back of your mind- kinda things that takes away from an otherwise good ride.

yea sometimes easing your mind makes all the money worth while lol i always use to be scared everytime i went out when i rode ski doo an cat now i know i will always have a running sled jus what falls apart around the motor

im not sure how i would straighten them out after taking a closer look at them...??

They look to be bent right at the base.

Probably better off finding replacements....

I just measured the ones I have. They are 7" as well. I no longer have that style of skies/trailing arms. Shoot me an offer!!
