Damn, Forgot about that.... just take your thumb & push on the screen from inside the hood to give it a bit of a dome shape for some extra room. I need to look but I think I removed one of the clips that hold that screen on or put it on its side insted of straight on to the tab because it would hit one of the pipes @ times. There is a spot about 1" when the pipe will touch the hood & give it a bit of a smear..... You need to look close to find it though. What are you running for clutching?
Thanks again
I will take care of it tomorrow.
The clutching is stock. Actually everything except the pipes and the jets are stock.
Do you have any clutching tip?

Run 2 shims with the stock primary spring & alum. rivet in the tip of the weight & the Dalton 50/42 helix w/the stock red secondary spring set @ 70 spinning around 9200 rpm's. The sled will come out of the hole good & have some real long legs topend. Bigmax's buddy Tim runs that setup & it works very nice..... Much better than it should! Leave the carb heaters off unless its real cold out.

If you notice a leak where the flange & pipe go together you will need to pull the flanges off & grind out inside of the flange to match the gasket.... Olav could have done a much better job in matching the flange to the gasket. All of the one I've done have been off by a few mm & that restricts the exhaust making for a backup leading to leaks @ the flange making a mess. Forget resealing the flange with Permatex & use Yamabond... It works the best I've found. It would be nice to have a set of the Speedwerx flanges to use with the Aaen tubes.... Talk about sweet!
Once again, thanks man! I´m glad i joined this forum
I´ll try to see if i can find any leak. I have never actually thought about that, good you mentioned it.
Happy new year to you too!

Nice sled Heimdall, Have you had a chance to ride it anymore? For you guys who are running aaens on your Viper what are you getting for gas milage?
Thanks YamahaXtreme.
No we only have a few inches of snow. So i´ll wait for some more before i take it out for the next ride. But i´ll let you know what the gas milage is as soon as we get some more snow.

Thats a loaded question, It really depends on your riding. Ive got as bad as 50 miles to a tank of fuel, but that was running 3'-4' of powder WFO or you was stuck. I can say the Tempa-Flow helped a bunch for trail riding but I had issues with pulling fuel into the vent lines when pounding through the bumps & running like crap till it cleared out, But I used the same amount of fuel @ the pump as Kyles stocker used for the same ride. Roll into the gas & I bet you can get 14 mpg or better.... Stab the gas every chance you get & you will see 10 mpg...... & have BIG friggin grin
