sideshowBob What did you do to the rear in the first pic ? Besides the rear idler wheels it looks like you got some good travel !

Ok a update ! The viper that i was looking at was sold a while back. Im now looking at a 2002 srx with about 1900 miles on it ! The new sled will have to wait another year or so but just to be back on the snow i think the srx will be alot of fun ! Also if its as mint as the pics show its a keeper !

brother rode a season with an srx motor with viper jugs. did not spin up as fast as the viper motor but pulled really hard and ran just as fast. ran it with the stock viper exh both times.

I have owned 2 vipers and one SRX......I would go back to the SRX no question
Get the upgrade done to the rear and crank it up on the trails!

What is the upgrade ? I see sideshowbobs frist pic stock looks like he had something done to the rear.

Just get a viper rear shock (more travel), the other center shock is actually the same length as as the viper but may have different valving or springrate. For it to still handle good u will want to get
something longer for front shocks or at least ride height, a cheap way to get buy is to turn the shock mounts upside down (believe u have to swap right with left side also) this will give u 1.5" more ride height so you can get by with stock front shocks

The rear one is the one with more travel. the center shock is same (travel wise) between srx and viper, but I think valving and springs are different. Ski shocks on srx are shorter also, u can get different or flip the mounts. Sorry, I should have been more clear.

I'm pretty sure he's going to need Viper transfer rods too.
