Find a good used one here, or Eckhoff's in New London, MN has exchange ones, or one of the other cylinder plating places could either fix it or possibly exchange it.

Probably - but it's hard to say for how long. Might go forever - might go for a few minutes. Fix it right. Good used jugs can be found all over the place for $100 - $200. Re-manufactured/exchange/repair will run $225 - $300 depending on the route you take.

its likely the rear skirt of the cylinder, if you run it without it, youll have engine failure from the piston rocking around and not supported at BDC, I would definitely not do it!

Good advice here, especially from mrviper700. That is what those "extensions" are for - to keep the pistons aligned in the bore at the bottom of the stroke. You can replace just the jug now, or you can run it as is with a very good chance that you will destroy the whole engine (cases, crank, pistons, and jugs) $100 or less now, or $1000 later.
