got a topend kit from a member and cylinders have been ported and heads appear to been shaved dont know how much?????? what should i use for a base gasket ?

no one can tell you what base gaskets to run, or octane to run, w/o knowing cc trapped volume, squish clearance, etc of your shaved heads. if you don't know, how are we going to know?
That is an easy one, run the stock base gasket with Opticool head gasket and make sure to raise carb needles.
