This thread really took off. I found the name on the track, it is a Camoplast Predator. I'm still not 100% sure on the lug height, it measured at 1.2" and 1.3" on some lugs.
I found a few numbers formed into it 690-9855 and A200121 if that means any thing.
What was the lug height on an '03Viper?
Side note, found a bent stud so that will have to go.
Thanks again Matt

Makes me think it is aftermarket after all if he measured the lug size to be around 1.25, seems a bit aggressive for stock.

Depends on how it's measured I guess. Doubt they'd make an aftermarket track to look like the stock one.
I've heard this is not the greatest track from a few people, but I think it does well on top end. One of it's strong points.

Well it did on my dads 02 Vmax. Sled only had 800 miles when we got it and the previous owners didn't put the track on.

LaPorte429, I dont know why Yamaha says its an 1in. track but when i measured my track its 1.25in. Makes no sense.

How are you guys measuring the track? Back of track with lug or just lugs from surface of track. The track itself is a little bigger than an 1/8th inch. So minus that and you get about an inch lug height. I.E about .92 to 1 for just lug height?
got the same track on my 03 venture,,, and yamaha does not make tracks.....hehe...

Yeah super1c is right, it definitely depends on how you are measuring it, but either way 1/8 inch does not compensate for a reading of 1.25 - 1.3, which is an extremely noticeable difference over stock which I always thought was .92.

I measured it from the back of the track to the lug.

That definitely makes more sense given your readings.

So that would make it about a 1" track.

Thats the stock track camoplast predator cone/finger style not to be confused with the predator 9830 which is a great track. They moved to Ripsaws in 04 I believe.
So to clear it up yes thats the stock 03 pos track.

I also measured from top of lug to bottom of track, so that explains my measurement. I'm also planning on adding 48 more studs to give me 144. Will I be able to add them to the middle with out running into problems?
Do you still have this track on your viper?

I dont have the track on my viper anymore, went to a 1.25in ripsaw last fall and never look back. You shouldn't have any problems on running 144 down the middle
