how to wrap for 80 degrees

Hi guys, looking for some help. I don't understand how torsional force is applied to the secondary spring. I would like a wrap at 80°. To achieve this I put the spring in the #2 hole in the sheave and number 6 hole on the helix. What I do not understand is how far (clockwise I'm assuming) do I need to twist the helix before setting it down on the mounting bolts? Do I twist it just far enough clockwise to get it on the bolts or do I need to complete a full revolution or what?

I am no clutching expert, but after reading this page: http://www.totallyamaha.com/snowmobiles/aaTECH/clutch_components.htm I can tell you have the right setting for an 80 degree wrap (sheave hole #2 with helix hole #6) so it sounds like you just have to slightly twist the helix so the ramps line up with the buttons and the holes line up with the studs on the sheave.

So the sheaves do not need to be aligned a certain way? Does the helix numbering need to be aligned with the sheave numbering in any way?

There's not much you can do wrong doing that. Twist the helix clocwise. If you're doing something wrong, the studs will not line up with the stud holes in the helix.
