I recently bought a 95 Vmax 600 I would like to get a better ride from the rear suspension. What are some other suspensions that will fit well, and are there any Yamaha suspensions that will possibly have a direct http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=34#
some may disagree, but i always thought the 97 and up proaction skids were a major improvement over that style pa skidin your sled. lots of m-10 lovers as well.
just about any skid can be adapted to your sled, but there are a few things to consider. first is the tunnel width. you will find that the 94-96's had a wider tunnel. easily overcome with some spacers.
next thing to consider is the increased travel. depending on what skid, you may end up upsetting the sleds geometry and creating a steering nightmare. keep in mind there is not alot of adjustability on that tss front.
last thing you want to consider, regardless of what skid you opt for, is you will need the mounting points from the donor skid. these measures are key to making any skid work properly.
