Ok i'm not going, I wish I can but, is there a chance for the SRX to come home with a WIN in the PRO class 700 Stock class against the liking of Jade Gilland Jamie Edwards, Ron Gilland, Guy Breton, Glen Hall, Bill Howard too name a few if everything was setup the same apples to apples.
I know in amature stock class it can be done but PRO stock class

GREAT CHANCE IN SEMI PRO'' STOCK '' AND TRAIL '' stock ''. FORGET '' STOCK ''. never happen. 3:16 (YAMMIE TONY)
YammieGod,exactly, we run trial and semi pro and do well, but when ya get to the big boys, they're just to fast, for the old outdated heavy srx's. but we give em hell and come close but never take home top prize.
even if the SRX was setup by the pros on TY
Fusion 69 whats the fastest ET that your SRX put down?
I have no access to timers but I think I'm still in the low 6's maybe in 500ft

FUNNY, 10 YEAR AGO THOSE GUYS WERE ON SRX,s. HAVE TO GO WITH THE TIMES IF YA WANT TO WIN. NOW THERE IS ALOT OF MYTHS ABOUT THE FASTEST STOCK SRX TIME EVER. I SAW A 5.6. ANYTHING FASTER WOULD BE ALITTLE HARD TO BELIEVE. NOT TO SAY IT DID NOT HAPPEN OR IT CAN,T. MY 2000 AIN,T CLOSE TO THAT. 3:16 (yammie tony)
Tony3:16 your 2000 is not the average SRX is it
Howabout with all the go fast stuff such as 500ft race box, timing key and DEEP POCKETS
this might be on TY here somewhere
According to ISR rules what all can be done too a SRX to run with the PROS is there a list of Items you can run and can't

TO ANSWER ANDY :
NO MY SRX IS NOT THE AVERAGE. BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW AND HAVE SPENT 10 YEARS SCREWING WITH IT.
SURE YOU CAN ADD A RACE BOX FOR MORE TIMING, BUT THEY ARE VERY RARE.
AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO TO A SRX TO RUN WITH A THE PRO,s. ITS OLD, SLOW, AND OBSLETE. sorry bud one of the greatest sleds of all time, but you get it hand to ya at a big race. 3:16 (YAMMIE TONY)

why is Yamaha waiting so long to produce a new lighter version of the SRX.Got to bring back the old iron like Ford(mustang) and Chevy (Camaro) has.People love this older vehicles and sleds no different.I think Yamaha really screwed up when they stopped making an SRX in their line-up..sad!!

I agree, for only 4 years of production the SRX 700 became quite popular!

They have it, called the Apex, which I think is now categorized for the 700 or 800 stock classes depending on the model year?

Tony,
Besides, why even bother because the stock ISR PRO classes are just about who is the better cheater. reality is there is NO such thing as a "Stock" class anymore, it's above us average racers. Your kidding yourself if you think that you can take a box-stock / out of the crate sled and you have the same sled as what the factory guys have and can be competitive.
You think Guy Breton is running a production "stock" pipe? PPffss... and what did he get caught for?
Do you think the bearings in their idler wheels are the same as what comes out of the factory? Pffssss...
Do you think their ECU's and CDI boxes are straight off the production line? Ppffsss...
Stick with the mod classes where it's not so easy to dominate by cheating, it's already been proven the SRX can run with the best of them including the lighter twins. Watch what they do in Pro Stock this year, if the results from the last two years at HayDays and Epping are any indication...

Very true, We also were gloating for the same reasons from 1976 to 1981 on the original SRX.
