got a 99 Vmax deluxe 700 for the wife to ride. i measure 3/4 lugs on the track. want to add some studs since she is used to riding with them. My Srx came with studs, so im new to this. was looking at 96 track packs from http://snowmobilestud.com/shop/store.html?cid=495&vid=20100910001&mpv=childItemsDTO&mpvp=1
whats your opinions.

Throw some fast trac triple x trail studs on there. 96 down the middle. Dont go crazy with the length though...

ya sure that track aint a .92? i used 1 inch woodys with that size track,i had some cheap studs i put in once, the end of the studs just cracked and the inserts fell out,
I had a Camo 1" track with 1.175" Woody's studs in my '99 SX (I think they have the same tunnel, coolers, rear skid as your sled) for over 6,000 miles and never had a problem with them studs hitting anything and I didn't ride it lightly. I did put in a 3/8" thick piece of UHMW down the middle of the tunnel between the factory protectors which did get some damage from the studs but very little.

Hi Mills, what dimensions did you use on the UHMW strip?
It was as wide as the space between the two factory protectors. I kept it as long as I could without having to modify anything under the tunnel to put it in and it was 3/8" thick. I did have to drill a few holes in it to clear some of the factory rivets.
Look up Plastics International on Google, they are a Minneapolis company and can get you what you are looking for.
