talked to topgunnsrx lol. based on my knowledge i think that srx will win. saw a 98 srx against a viper and it was really close. so the newer srx was a bit faster. vipers are fast but not fast enough.

well the races we have done with our viper vs the srx the viper has a strong lead.

My old man of 44yrs just bought a 02 viper and what do you think I have, that is correct a 98 srx. He has 196 studs on his track and i only have 96 with that said, he can beat me of bottom end but on top....bye bye old fellow..hahaha

Just to settle a little argument. Being that we live to far away to race eachother i thought i would ask and see what you all think.

Mine is pretty stock 24/38 gearing, bender can, and studs thats pretty stock to me. Probably going to a 22/38 gearing in a week

A good running srx should be able to take a viper with reasonable mods in a longer run.

My 00 SRX with only clutch work can take my Piped Viper out of the hole by about a sled length fairly consistantly, The Viper will real it in and pull a half a sled on the big end.


Overall a pretty close race with my two sleds anyway.

Have to agree with nystateboySRX, I am the old man with the SRX700 and my son is the one with the SX Viper. Stock for stock, the single piped Viper pulls faster, but on top end, the triple piped SRX is faster. If his Viper was triple piped, the newer 700cc motor in the SX Viper will definately produce more horsepower and inevitably more speed on top end.
