I know its a little early but I can't wait for winter. I made an appointment at my local dealer for some fall service work and he laughed at me for bring my sled in in Sept. All I said is do it now because if I wait next thing you know it will be the 1st. of Jan. and I can't ride becuse they are 3 weeks backed up on service. Come on snow!!!

After all the thing's I've seen you work on and talk about, you bring your sled's in for service? I DONT BELIEVE IT!!!

OOPP's got mixed up and thought bluemonster started this thread ;):D ;):D Welcome to the forum, you'll find lot's of good help and info here.

can't blame you. i was thinking of get the srx out and going threw it this weekend first frost tonight hopfuly :letitsnow

I called my nearest dealer and ordered jets, it took them off gaurd that I was calling about sled parts already :winterrul

I switched my 07 out with my 08 in the garage so I can see which plastic parts need replacing after trying to do some logging with it haha

My dealer was used to me ordering parts in the summer. They lost thier yamaha dealer last summer, big bummer for me! so now i order everything online. Next yamaha dealer is 45min away.

Got home this morning, sat in the hot tub and looked at the First frost of the season... aahh winter is coming. I would work on my on sled like I do everything else but between 2 kids, a wife, a house, a BIG BIG yard, 3 cars, 3 4wheelers and a motorcycle I don't have time to work on the sled before winter. But I WILL MAKE TIME FOR RIDING!!!!

Hard to beat the prices and selection of dealers over the Internet!

just traded my 400ex for a 2002 viper cant wait to give it a whirl. from having owned a 1996 zrt 600 im suspecting that this sled should be a whole different kinda beast. i cant wait for winter .....let it snow.... ps im new to the forum but this looked like a good place to start. but ive always loved my yammi quads and dirtbikes and i suspect thier sleds are no different.

welcome to the site andrew. start reading through the srx/viper forum and use the search feature and you can find more than you ever wanted to know about your sled here. before winter hits clean your carbs, clean and adjust your powervalves, check out the bearings and other normal wear items

thanks for the advice staggs. i definitley want to get to kno my sled and do some pre winter maintence to it b4 the snow flys. especially the pull cord. it looks a little frayed. that would suck to break that on a cold winter night. always a good idea. i was actually refered to this site from a totally yamaha sticker thats on the bottom portion of the windshield of the sled. but thanks anyway for the welcome to the forum.

X2. Welcome Andrew! Great forum here with very knowledgeable riders. Hours and hours of reading with the search feature. Your gonna love your Viper. Picked mine up last year. The few people who have driven it have said it's one of the smoothest snowmobiles. Gotta love the triples!!! Go through it good before you ride it. :letitsnow
