I have 2001 sxr 600 triple, stock motor, clutch and exhaust. I bought two 3" powair vacuume operated intake vents to put in the intake area below speedo. I just need to drill a couple of 3"holes and snap them in. Do I need to rejet to make up for the extra air going in? And is it even worth doing on a stock sled? I live in Maine and do a lot of trail riding and some boon docking as I converted my baby to a 136", 1-1/4" ripsaw with 8 tooth drivers, and stock gearing.
Should be fine they are jetted a little rich from factory

Ok, since my last post on more air, i have bored the silencer, and took off all the old foam around the airbox plenum, and replaced with a sno-tek prefilter material. I cleaned my carbs following the ty tech carb cleaning section and eveything looked pretty good. They were hard to read but my main jets looked to be 136.3 left, 133.8 mid, 133.5 right, air jets 1.0, pilots were 42.5, and 2 turns out on the fuel screw. I think thats all close to stock, so i left it that way. Put new plugs in and some fresh gas in it and got it running awesome! sounds great with the bored silencer! Were they rich enough from factory tho for all the mods i just described? Or should I just run it a bit, (if we ever get any snow!), and read the plugs? This is the 1st sled I have really been experimenting with, just want to make sure i do everything right so i dont toast it!

Oh and i failed to mention i also added a set of reed spacers , since i had the carbs out of it.

you may want to bump your pilots up to 45's. I did all the mods on my SX600 and it really benefitted on low end after going to 45 pilots.
