wow what a find..vmax4-800

showed my wife the pic of it in the 40th anniversary book...she didn't buck the issue...but that is the cost of my property tax's due end of October... :o|
yep so close and yet so far.The sled is approx 1 hour out of town...would like to go to at least see it...

the guy just got back to me.It was totally rebuilt and engine to.It only has 50 miles on the rebuild. It was rebuilt completely by Red River Yamaha..a dealership outside the city. Then he said they put in their display area to show people. He told me it cost more thousands to rebuild then the asking price but it is in mint shape. It has been restored to stock with the exception of a XT suspension and 1.25 ripsaw track on it.
What a find..

well I just e-mailed the buyer back that I want to come look at it and now I think I am going to buy it ..hope it is not sold yet.
Maybe yammiegod 3:16 can chime in here..is this a good deal..probably the best I am ever going to find on a sled like this..

I asked him if he had all the reciepts from the rebuild as proof of the work done.Imagine if I put quad pipes on that vmax.Wander what the HP would be from stock motor with quads..anyone have an idea.

What a cool looking sled

170ish seems to be the general concensus. Take it to Quadzilla Racer and have a stage 1 turbo put on for 250ish HP.

COOL SLED MONSTER. THE VMAX 800 WAS BETTER THAN THE VMAX 4 750. THEY HAD MORE HP, BETTER CLUTCHES, STRONGER LOWER END FOR QUAD PIPES AND COULD REV WITH NO LIMITERS ON CDI. QUAD PIPES GET THESE BABIES UP TO AROUND 170. AND STILL MAINTAIN LOW PEAK. PSI, AAEN, BENDER, ALL MADE QUADS FOR THIS SNOWMOBILE, BUT I FOUND PSI MADE THE MOST HP. HOPE YA BUY IT. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Honestly Blue, I think you can do better. I'm seen cleaner ones go for less. I had one near perfect that I sold for $2500. I have a mint 97 (even more rare) that I'm selling for $3900. I've seen several very clean 95's over the years selling in the mid $2k's.

But, in your area that could very well be a deal. Good luck if you buy it.

Here's a link to my 97. The 95 beside it was flawless and I think it sold for $2200. You could eat off both engines :)

yeah well maybe I'll pass on the vmax then.Don't really have the cash laying around, would have to borrow instead. He was not going to drop the price a penny..if people were going to work the price down he told me..then he would of started at $4500 instead. It is a 95 and getting old already.I have the SRX which will do me next little while. If I was into racing..maybe I would go for it.Getting to old for that anyways, and spent to many $$ and hours on the SRX.Just want to ride now.Don't want to pour money into another older sled and put much time into it.My 2 sleds now have been re built totally last year(engine) and this year..skid and front end..good for another 5 years and probably won't be sledding after that ..have to worry about paying my house bills instead by that time.

as long as you dont crash them or put huge miles on.. the colectors value on the v max 4 should always just go up. but who want=s a sled they dont wanna ride :)

but would hafta admit tho if ya found a good deal on 1 snagg it i bumped into 1 in my area wasnt a 800 tho it was a 750. last yaer was in great shape no spark tho. they wanted 1000 for it. i wished i had the extra cash for it.

yeah I wish..but I could have a vmax sitting here or I could pay my property tax at the end of October and not be kicked off my property by the municipality...lol Priorities first..
