I have a Phazer II that I want to replace the skid to something MUCH better and with more track and suspension travel. I do not mind some fabrication, but nothing big.
I have read that the Ski Doo Rev sc10-4 suspension is the best and easiest to put in.
So, what are EVERYONE's opinion on this???!!
Any help would be wicked!

Anything will fit with a little work. The fact that the sc4 skid bolts right up is pure luck. I'd have to wonder how it rides though as I cant imagine the mounting holes are in the EXACT same spots. I dont think a '95 Arctic Cat rear skid will ride much better than what you have. I just rebuilt the same skid you have, in my XL-V, and I guarentee it will ride nice. Wont be a mogul masher but if you're riding a TSS Yamaha and looking for a sled thats awesome in 1-2 foot woops your on the wrong machine. I bought rail extensions for that skid from WPS for a pretty good price and found a decent used 136" track on the cheap and did the swap for just under $300. to rebuild the rear skid was also just under $300 but I had a lot of worn out parts.

That sounds cool .....
I know it wont handle or ride like my REV, but I want to be able to jump alot more. As I am 250lbs, I would like more travel ..... so how is your travel now?
Can you send me some pics of your machine?
It sounds EXACTLY what I would like to do to mine .... Problem is that my shocks are pretty much unresponsive
What about adjusting the limiter straps on this to allow more flexibility???
Thanks!

These are the most recent pics I have. There really arent any plastic bushings in these rear skids so just rip it apart and clean and grease all of the shafts really well... Replace all of the plastic spring blocks and put new shocks in. I put a kimpex gold gas shock in the back and that seems to have made the difference. If you want, I can dig up the parts list with the actual Yamaha part numbers for what you need but it would take me until tomorrow.
I tore mine right down to the slide rails and started from ground one. completely went through everything.
Back in the sled and ready to rock.. had to set the rear spring blocks to the SOFTEST settings cause it was too stiff for my 195 lbs. and still is. Front is on the middle setting with an oil shock. (Dont mind my race bike by the house) haha
As far as limiter straps goes, I'm running the rear in the longest position and running without a front strap for now. I had to remove the front strap to get the skid to sit level on the ground after the front end swap from leaf springs. Yours, let the rear all the way out to the last hole and adjust the front for the ski pressure you want.

That REALLY does look great!!!
How much suspension height do you have from the ground to the bumper?
If you wouldn't mind, I would certainly love to get those part numbers from you!!!
(Ps. So that IS a Yammy skid, just extended right?)
Good job!

I'll get back to you on the bumper height and part numbers tomorrow. And yes, that IS a Yamaha skid extended with WPS rail extensions. The track is a 136x1.352 camoplast cobra.

Thanks guys! Ski's are just set there to get an idea of how it will look when its done. Sled is still a work in progress and I'm pretty sure I blew my budget many times over haha

ok, here's what you need for your skid;
86S-47446-01-00 HOOK 1 QTY. 2
8V0-47447-01-00 HOOK 2 QTY. 2
8V0-47448-00-00 HOOK 3 QTY. 2
8V0-47371-00-00 BUSH, PIVOT QTY. 2
8V0-47365-00-00 COLLAR 1 QTY. 2
85K-47447-01-00 HOOK 2 QTY. 2
Thats every plastic piece in your skid except the curved track guide pads that keep the track from touching the upper arm at full compression.
Now, shocks:
Center - kimpex gas shock
Rear - kimpex gas shock
Best possible set up for your rear skid to be at its fullest potential.
And my rear bumper height is approximately 20" from the ground.

Oh wow ... thanks!
I think I am going to stick with my 121 x 15 for this year (as I have a free track to put on it).
20" ???!!!! Wow, that is crazy good!
That is like my REV .... Right now, my Phazer is like 11" off the ground.
And those two shocks will give you that much height?

I think my tunnel extension adds a couple inches to the height. Stock it was probably like 14 haha. My bumper is also right at the top of the tunnel too and not down at the bottom like the original.
