I have a low mileage 91 Yamaha Venture XL & the track looks like a belt sander & the rear suspension is super stiff so I am upgrading. I am buying the parts & bringing it to a backyard mechanic.

On the list is a 121" Camoplast Energy 1" track & 2 Kimpex Gold Shocks.

Anything else recommended to be replaced while Shes under the knife?

Cheers,

Do all the suspension bushings while you're in there. New slides, not that they're hard to do while the skid is in the sled, but its easier obviously when out. Bearings would be a good idea also, speedo, etc. for peace of mind.

If the rear skid is stiff I guarantee its froze up. All the shafts are probably rusted in. This may become a more expensive rebuild than you expected but some PB Blaster and some patience will go a long ways.
