I am rebuilding a 600 vmax motor that I have in a 1992 exciter 2 that I bought. I'm not sure of the year of the motor. does anyone know where I can find a number on the motor or any specific details to I.D. this motor please? The guy I bought it from isn't sure either. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Post some pics.... It will make it much easier to get help
on the recoil side of the crankcase you will find some stamped numbers. those numbers will be the only way to identify the engine.
