When I had my 2001 SXR700 I ran the thin headgasket with no issues, stock jetting. I also had the reed spacers installed. But when that sled was new there were no issues with ethanol like there is now.

my 700 i removed head cut 10 th of surface then 10 th out of squish area this only brings dome closer for a much safer boast in compreesion less chance of detanation
