I found a very clean skid for $100. It appears to be a sc-10. It doesn't have the stopping blocks at the rear. I am wondering...is there an extra wheel/axle assembly that goes in the middle to keep the track tension "up"? One that doesn't come with the skid, but is mounted to the sled. I think this came from a late 90's or early 00's ski do mx sled. I will try and post a pix. Is it worth it to upgrade to this skid or am I wasting my time. I am 210lbs, and 40 years old. Looking for comfort and hookup/weight transfer on a budget. It is going on a red head 97 SX700. I might be able to get it for even less... I did notice they make an ETS kit for it which looked like a transfer link. What do you guys think? Is this a worthwhile "upgrade"?

You may have to go to Dootalk to get all the dirt on the skid. In my opinion it will definitely be an upgrade if it, and its shocks are in decent shape.

You are correct. There is an axle mounted in the tunnel with wheels on it. I have the same skid in a 1998 mxz. It's a descent setup. They tend to buck a little bit though. I had the enhancement kit installed but removed it. I think it rides better without it.
