Rear snow flat being chewed up by studs.

I was thinking of putting a steel plate across the bottom of my Yamaha flap for it to hang better. There isn't anything to prevent it from being push up to the track when in reverse and getting chewed up by the studs.

I appears the soft snow behind is enough to move it forward. Cutting it up (shorter) higher off the ground may help.

Anyone having this problem and did something to stop it?

Oh, a flap support of some sort I see.

On the older Vmax's the tunnel had 2 sets of flap mounting holes, the lower for a standard model and the higher for a model with reverse. I'm not sure if the trailing arm machines have 2 sets of holes?
Worth a look.
