LIFE MEMBER ONLY ONCE!!!
Scott..just installed the Simmons Ski's.Man you old stock Ski's only have 3 inches of carbide(factory) and the carbides are all flat.No wander you had no steering on ice and hard pack. The Simmons have the stock carbides they give with the Ski's.They have 6 inch carbide x two on each Ski now.So now you have 12 inches total carbide per Ski and they are the 90 degree carbide. They are brand new.I used 60 degree ones last year until I tore off most of the carbides crossing that rock dam on the La Salle River last season....
.So this will make a HUGE difference in control now..
BUT..now I took my 2 straight edges and laid them along track parallel to the Ski's.WOW!!Your alignment is wacked out.Probably why you had to correct yourself a lot when coming out of corners.Believe it or not but you now have negative toe out.It is toed in 3/4 inch..can you believe that. You were losing control and speed probably..I can try to adjust the tie rod ends a little..not sure if I can correct it just thru the outside tie rods adjustment.Since you sealed your triple pipes last night..I can't remove them. I may not be able to get under the pipes to turn tie rod ends there and get a better overall .
measurement.
I will try my best for you Scott...
