121-136 SX6 gearing

Gear down one tooth on the top from where you are if you were happy before.Your clutching will be very close with this if you were dialed in as a shorty. This was Turk's advice to me when I did a 136" on mine.I ended up at 39/21 which seems to be a good all around ratio for midwest style riding. This required a 68 link chain with the top gear change.

Not sure about that, somewhere in the technical section is a chart with gear ratios and required link chains.Although I think your current ratio should work very well for you with a 136".

I know this is gonna be pretty much on the money, but does anyone have any tweeks to the rivit weights(or anything else) in Turks setup, as the kid is probably @ 250# w/ gear on.By the way....looking for 8-ca weights.

cut & pasted from Turks setup page:
99 SX600 Trail
51/43 Helix, 8-ca weights 0.8g in tip, 2-3 engagement shims, stock spring primary, silver secondary, 1 or 2 layers removed from head gasket and 20/40 gearing. Jetting: 140 mains
