Yamabrute,
I would go to a yamaha shop and buy an SRX torque limiter and all the associated hardware. That engine has the threaded holes on the engine and the frame. It bolts right in. All you'll need to do is pull off the air box, the carbs, and it helps if you take off the secondary clutch. Then it bolts right in. The only annoying part will be you will have to press two bushings into the dogbone. Which is a snap if you have access to a press.

you could also use a vice ive had great success using my vise as a press 2 pieces of decently heavy thickness sheetmetal on either side of the bushings work great for preventing mars from the jaw teeth of the vice.

Well im pretty sure i dont need to say which one i would go with. VIPER of course. I have never had a hint of trouble. I did change to opticools and move the needles but that was just because i cant leave well enough alone. I even ran a tripple piped viper for a bit and it was flawless without a hint of trouble. Just didnt need the power or like the drop in MPG so i went back to stock. If you clutch them right they can hang with a lot of them stock. Blow that vmax out of the water for sure!!!!
