Park Brake

What are some of the things people have done with there park brakes after they raise the bars and find there park brake cable is to short?
I put on a 5 in riser (05 Mtn Viper) and have everything else dealt with except for the park brake... I have a couple ideas but I'm curious what the masses have done (unless it includes using a cable from a Mtn Viper :D ).

cable from an 03 mtn rx1 was the longest i have found. never compared it to the mtn viper one, based on the bar configuration between the two models, the rx's appear taller. pt#: 8EP-26351-00-00.
 
Take it off and either drill a hole in the brake handle for a pin or toss a velcro strap in the handlebar bag to wrap around the handle when needed. Done both and each will get the job done.
 
I bring a cable tie and a knife lol. I might run the cable through a hole where the exhaust spring goes and weld some kind of mount onto it
