finally the snow is here

amazing ..last year Nov 19 is when we got our first snow..this year Nov 18 is our first real snow. And prediction is for long cold winter with above average snowfall and snow late into April also. That is approx 5 months to ride..oh yeah...

:worth: Comon blue we need pic's. I'd show ya pics of fluris but when i looked at the pics you cant even see them. LOL. I was sleddin on the river 2 days after thanksgiving last year and that was early. Not counting on that this year.

well we got some snow but the North winds has moved it all around..still need more..but a start for sure. It is -18C right now with a wind chill of -28 C :brr

went out with my 600 and tore up the ditch around here, put on 14 km's.Still need a lot of snow.Went to my property in the back along my tree line and almost didn't make it out.It was 3 feet deep there and snow flying right over and on top of me and sled..crazy...
Got some bugs to iron out I see..have a little belt squeal..belt riding a tad to high and have a over rev to almost 9000 rpm..but hey conditions not good for testing anyways.Got a taste anyways for now.

Love my dolly system I made earlier..just ride up to it and sled climbs on top automatically and I am done..just pull it into the garage.Man that is going to save my back this season..no more lifting ski's and back end on individual dolly's anymore.
We need more snow..hate this time of year where snow comes slowly.Need a good amount with blizzard conditions to fill everything in..

Snow has started in Minneapolis. Looking at the weather and thinking we may have to head to the cabin about 2 hours north tomorrow for a test run. According to Weather.com there is already 3" on the ground north of here.

I know that 2 to 3 inches is really not ideal for long ride but just to get rid of that itch for a little throttle playing helps...come on you damn snow..hurry up.. :o| :letitsnow :letitsnow

Updated Weather.com report says 8.2" I guess I'll get to start breaking in the engine tomorrow. I'll be following a Rev 500SS ( Hopefully for the last time this season). Probably best to let someone else break trail for me with a new engine rebuild.

I got the itch but not as brave as you to go for a dig yet. Need more snow!!! Bring it on.. Got some new double 60 degree carbides for the Viper and want to try them out... Here they really bite and will help with my darting problem..

well next week is not promising..going above 0 basically from Tues to the weekend..what's up with that..old man winter doesn't want to plant his feet here... :o| :o|

I looked at my 10 day forecast and all at once it turns from rain snow one day to all snow the next! even tho the weather is not that accurate being 10 days away i still ave hope winter will come soon enough!! ;)!

I went over to where I keep my sleds and was so tempted to pull them out and go for a rip but I know that would only get me in trouble... Patience, patience grasshopper...lol...
