We have set an all time record in MPLS. We average 19" of snow in December. We had two less than 1" dustings so far, that's it. The next record to break is no snow more than 1" at a time by Jan. 9th. I believe we will do it. I'm telling you, this is very, very bad for our sport, for the Mfg's and anything to do with snowmobiling. Three of the four mfg's (not Polaris) has threatened to pull out of the market in the next few years if these midwest winters do not turn around. Yamaha says they sell more Grizzlys in one season than all of their sled models combined. 4 wheelers have kept Polaris afloat. BRP is hurting financially because of the spin off and going total recreational during a down swing in the economy(and the Canadian vs. American dollar). Cat is always on the edge.

WE rode 30 miles on Thursday in N. MI. Woke up to no snow Friday morning and 50*.

Upstate NY here and all we have had is rain..This year really sucks so far, I have not even pulled the seld out of the garage yet....Not even once........

Kind of an interesting thought...if the seasons continue to be bad, would snowmobile trails have to be converted to ATV trails in order not to devastate economies in certain snowbelt areas?
