I have trailing arms from Mountian Performance on my Viper Mountain and SRX. I have had them for years. I have had to order replacement tubes 2 times from them to replace bent ones.

I currently have a bent one on my Viper. I called to order a replacement. They are still liste on their web site.

I called several times and left messages. The owner called me back and informed me that they were no longer going to make them and offered no help in finding a supplyer. This upsets me. I have bought so much from them over the years. It seems unfair that they would do this. They just want to focus on the newer sleds I guess. Not much demand for the older stuff.

Any one know of any one that can make the replacement tube?
I know it is a tube. But how would it be swedged down on the end and threaded for the heim joint that attaches by the foot well.
I hate to toss the things and go stock trailing arms. I spent a lot on these things back in day. Might be time to upgrade my sled I guess.

Any info or help you can provide is appreciated.
 
1 idea I would have to repair them is to buy a peice of tube the right size( could even use 6061 aluminum heavy wall, chrome moly steel,etc.) and use a threaded tube insert in the end, it would need to be welded on end and then your heim joint would go straight into that. I know it would not be a tapered tube but would still function, likely not noticeable if you did the same to both sides.
the tube inserts are tapered and simply slip into the end of the tube, you plug weld them in tube wall.

i am making replacements tubes using chromolly. they will appear different due to the lack of tooling. i am confident in pairs they will work great, i havent done any testing with a mixed set. so far they have held up.

if you have access to or the ability to cope the tube ends, thats your biggest hurdle. next you will need to turn the tubes down around .0100-.00100 to fit the heads.

not really worth my time or effort to replicate and sell (cost prohibitive), but i can give you some direction if you want to make your own.
