Rx1 skis on an SRX?

Yamahead when you say flip and swap left to right the shock mounting bracket are you talking about top or bottom mount?

I think I realized why I was having so much time understanding how to fit these SRX saddles into the skis I have...

That's because they are 2005 RX1 skis, which had "saddleless" design with the saddle made of the ski plastic and molded right into the ski.

With that being said, is there anyway to use these 2005 RX1 skis with the SRX?

If not, I think I am back to the drawing board. I wanted to try these because the price was right (FREE)

Any recommendations on less expensive skis for the SRX that will improve floatation but won't cost a fortune in mounting hardware?

They will bolt right up and if you do the top shock mount bracket flip you wont even lose that 1" of travel. Sounds like a good upgrade to me.
