i have a bender opti cool head gasket in my viper and my question is, can i remove any layers? and will this make more compression and horse power?
are you piped or stock....

oh ya, im sorry, i have h c clutch kit with bender helix, gutted air box, and mbrp race can also 192 studs.
if you where running all stock, I would say go for it but with the airbox mod and I am sure you made a jetting change with the box, I would leave it alone.

I asked this same question last year and was told NOT to use the opticool gasket with an unpiped Viper. I would ask Bender before installation.

i do not see where running this gasket on an unpipped viper would hurt it in any way,all
it does is flow the coolant better in the head. any others out there running this in there unpipped vipers? i now have 2470 miles with no problems and no coolant light coming on in icy trail conditions.
