Funny noise from my 00 MM (video included)

Decided not to go up today, the estimated snowfall didn't happen....

I havn't found the sound just yet, it's not doing it at home of course.

I raised the idle and tossed a screwdriver into the tool pouch in case it changes at altitude on me. I'm thinking it's the belt but that's to be determined!

But ya, I can absolutely tell a difference now after the new plugs. Sounds a lot healthier

Also it has the mountain performance head on it. 120 psi seemed a little low to me, but still in healthy range.
 
The sound is almost completely gone, but it did do it again today some.

It has a little more power now that I've replaced the plugs

But today it started to kind of do the same blubber at first peg of the throttle. It'll idle all day just fine but kinda blubblers if it's been sitting idling for a minute so I'm thinking it may be loading up a little bit.

It also used a whole jug of oil to a tank of gas......

I havn't pulled the plugs yet because I bought a super cheap polaris indy and the damn thing broke down today and had to tow it back. Needless to say I wish I would've just went with another mountain max and a few more bucks and my back wouldn't be hurting... And my ego a little
 
Whoa!! That's a lot of oil!! Make sure your oil cable is seated right after you measure the gap in the cable. Also, when I added my first riser I had that happen, but I had only added a 2", but didn't get extended cables and even though, they looked fine most of the time, I figured out that when I was making tight turns the cable was being pulled.

Wow way to much oil. Shoot for a quart per tank. Like sleddineinar said check those cables again and your adjustment. That much oil would be ruining a set of plugs in a hurry, even more so at idle. Hense your misfire being back.

Ya I'm up to my neck in sled issues now.

I'll have enough to keep me busy for a while and keeping my MM alive is top priority. I'll run over her asap
 
Ok, got the Polaris going again, just need to clean the clutch rollers now.

Onto the MM. So the bog came back and I'm chasing the idle around. It sounds like I'm having a TORS issue so I will look into over riding it and playing with the choke on snow.

It's idling on 2 cylinders, then picks up the third once I get it cleared out. It was actually bogging and threatening to die on me today when I started it up to head back to the trailer. The idle was hanging around 3k which isn't where I sat it, and I played hell getting it cleaned out.

Been reading several other posts from people with a similar issue and I think I've got my answers.

We'll see and I'll report back asap

The lock nut for the oil cable must've came loose and went wide open.

Looks like the tors is already disabled

The plugs didn't look like they were getting to much oil though, which is kinda scary considering how much oil it was getting.

Spent today tinkering and I think I got both sleds back to where they need to be and I'll have an on snow review next week I hope
