Shocks for 79 ET250

The front shocks are done on the little guys ET250
Has anyone tried to put automotive shocks on them?
Or does the angle make the automotive shock not a option?

I checked the sled parts distributors I have access to and could not find a listing. I'm not sure where you would find an automotive shock small enough. Can you give me the dimensions center to center and the width of the mount. I might be able to find something that way. You may end up having to make a spacer or something for the shaft ends.
