Hi. While putting back together my friends xtc 600 I noticed the bottom case had some
marks on the bearing seat. The top case looks mint. I looked at another set off a 97 xtc600 and the bottom case also had this same wear while the top was mint. Is this a common problem or am I just very unlucky? Is there anything I can do to save this case? THanks.

You should post some pictures if you can.

If the pictures are small enough 900 x 800 I think, you can post using the uploader at the bottom of the posting editing screen (I think that's what you call it, when you click on the "Go Advanced" button. But if you have to resize them here is a post I found that will help you with resizing. I happen to have access to Photoshop, but not everybody does.
