Around a table spoon or a 3rd of a oil cap off a litre jug works well.

don't think you can blame the TPS for not starting. If you unplug the TPS..it should still start.Make sure you have spark..and if you do..putting gas in all 3 cylinders thru sparkplug hole should get her going..it should start to sputter/fire on you.Is something grounding out somewhere and the carbs ..are they really clean.Could of plugged jets solid with some old gas in the tank even. You have to try and eliminate 1 thing at a time..sorry there is no magic solution..

spark plus gas = BOOM!!! don't know what to tell ya...check your compression numbers and see if that is good..... Where's daman when we need him..he would usually be on top of this.....

like blue said gas + spark you have the recipe for ignition. if you have any compression at all it should fire up.

even if your kill switch was off..not saying it is...but maybe..lol you wouldn't be getting a spark then..so maybe check all wiring for loose connections..I am not an electrical demon..but something sure don't smell right in Yamaland....

is your key off..lmao..just kidding.Correct me if I am wrong Jeff..but if key or kill switch is off or wires to carb dissconnected..there wouldn't be any spark showing up.....so now it may boil down to a carb or even a fuel pump failure on you..but you shoulda had some smoke already......Murphey's Law I guess..This is where I would be grabbing a big hammer and swinging it a little..that's just me...lol

It could be flooded......remove one plug and hold your finger over the hole when a buddy puls it over.

I just bought a 2000 SRX 700 off a friend of mine. On a 15 degree average day, from a cold start, it would take anywhere from 25-40 pulls to even get it to pop once. We got to where on the first start of the day we would dump about 1/4 cup of fuel into the air box and after 2 pulls it would fire right up. My SX 600 was the same way but not as bad. Would take about 10-15 pulls. Same trick, same results lol

I don't like using that stuff but have resorted to before.
